Will it be a Six?

A batsman is about to hit. Set up the shot, guess where the ball will land, then watch it fly. A good model keeps only what matters — play with the controls and find out which ones really change the shot, and which ones do nothing at all.

Drag the sliders to set up the shot Press Play, then tap the field to predict the landing Watch which controls actually bend the arc
Set up your shot, then press Play the shot.

Effects

Try this: with air resistance off, drag the mass slider all the way. The shot doesn’t change — in still air, a heavy ball and a light one fly the same. Turn air resistance on and try again.

The rope is 68 m away. A six means the ball clears the rope without bouncing first.
